The Rohtak police have arrested four persons, including two dental doctors and one MBBS student, for conspiring to leak the answer sheets for the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Test (AIPMT), which was conducted on May 3.
The accused have been identified as dental doctors Bhupinder and Sanjeet of Rohtak, PGIMS Rohtak's MBBS student Ravi, who hails from Greater Noida, and Rajesh of Gadhi Khedi village of Rohtak.
According to Shrikant Jadhav, IG Rohtak Range, the special task force of the Rohtak police had received information that four people were planning to leak the answer sheet of AIPMT exams in a hotel in Panitpat on April 30. The police formed a special team with the coordination of the Panipat police and arrested the accused three days before the examination.
Police said that during the investigation, it was found that the accused were working in collusion with Roop Singh Dangi of Madina (Rohtak) who had provided them an answer sheet for which they were to strike a deal between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh with nine students.
Meanwhile, with the timely efforts of the police the accused were arrested. However, Dangi was yet to be arrested.
According to the Rohtak police, the accused had installed digital watches and microphones in the undergarments, which would be given to the students during the exam to access the answers.
The police also recovered copies of the answer sheets from their mobile phones, which they had received via WhatsApp.
The recovered answer sheet contains answers of 90 objective type questions, the police said.
The police also recovered the specially-equipped undergarments from their possession in which mobile chips and microphones were installed.
