Haryana CM Khattar asks Chandigarh residents to vote for BJP for ‘holistic’ development

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar was here to campaign for BJP candidates for the upcoming MC polls and appealed to residents to vote for the party for the city’s “holistic” development. The municipal corporation elections are slated for December 18.

On Monday, Khattar campaigned in different parts of the city that included Manimajra in support of ward 26 candidate Vinod Aggarwal, Ram Darbar in support of ward 23 candidate Bharat Kumar, Sector 22 in support of ward 3 candidate Ravi Kant Sharma and Sector 37 in support of ward 8 candidate Arun Sood, who is also the mayor.

At a public gathering in Ram Darbar, Khattar also welcomed several senior Congress leaders and supporters who joined the BJP. The list including senior leaders BN Tewari and Karam Chand Sood, advocate Heera Lal Kundra, Mukesh Dhingra, Hem Chand, Nanak Singh and Gurdeep Singh, among others.

Khattar said, “We are all aware of the adage ‘Strike while the iron is hot’. Your support in favour of the BJP candidates during the upcoming MC elections will act as a strike to eradicate corruption from the city. A clean sweep will not only push the corrupts out of the city but will also set a foundation for the overall development of the smartest city in the country.”
