The executive body of the Haryana unit of the Congress would be constituted by next month, AICC general secretary incharge of state party affairs Shakeel Ahmed said on Saturday.

This was stated by Ahmed, who was here to attend a party meeting regarding holding of Ambedkar Jayanti programmes, while interacting with newspersons. He was accompanied by Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar and former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

On a question pertaining to separate programmes being held by Tanwar and Hooda, he maintained that party's every leader was free to organise any programmes or interactions with the party workers provided he did not speak against the party or its leadership or party's policies. Haryana co-incharge Asha Kumar and former HPCC president Phool Chand Mullana, former ministers Capt Ajay Yadav, Aftab Ahmed and Geeta Bhukkal were also there on the occasion.

While replying to another question, Ahmed lambasted the BJP government in the state for allegedly failing on all fronts. "The BJP is fast losing popularity and people now feet cheated by the party'', he said.
