Haryana Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Kiran Choudhry on Monday slammed the BJP government for not taking action on the second inquiry report, submitted on March 29, on the death of the former chief minister Hukam Singh. The second inquiry was instituted by chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar after he had rejected the first probe’s report.
Former excise and taxation minister, Choudhry, in a statement issued here, asked why no action had been taken even after 15 days of submission of the inquiry report. “Does the delay mean the CM is trying for a cover-up or making an effort to protect those possibly named by the inquiry panel,” she asked.
Stating that a two-member committee had been asked to inquire into the alleged delay by PGIMS Rohtak in providing ambulance to the former chief minister and submit report to the government within a week, she said that even after more than two weeks of the report having been submittted, no action had been ordered against the guilty.
“Khattar should immediately act on the report and order strict action against the doctors and others for their negligence in the treatment of the former chief minister,” Choudhry said.
