Leader of opposition Abhay Chautala said that the Haryana government leaders were unaware of the problems of the people and “being inexperienced and new to the administrative set up, they were incompetent to deal with the state’s problems.”

Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Abhay Chautala was addressing party workers at a meeting in party office here on Tuesday evening. He said, “Party workers shouldn’t be disappointed at the election results because all other parties had jointly hatched a conspiracy to keep INLD away from power. Congress knew that if INLD came to power, it would punish the corrupt people so they helped BJP in winning the elections.”

Chautala flayed BJP for “forgetting its promise to provide unemployment allowance, make state employees’ payscale at par with those of Punjab and implementation of Swaminathan committee recommendations.”
Lambasting BJP government on the issue of urea shortage, he said the farmers were running from pillar to post to get urea and requisite fertilisers for their crops. “We need to play a role of ideal opposition to apprise the people about government’s failures,” added Chautala.

INLD state president Ashok Arora said, "INLD has witnessed ups and downs during the last one decade. We have high regard for the democratic norms and shall apprise the people about the shortcomings of BJP and Congress. The future of INLD is bright.”

People disappointed with govt: INLD

Addressing a meeting of party workers at his residence here on Wednesday, leader of opposition Abhay Chautala said BJP-led state government should fulfil its promises it made during assembly elections. “If they fail, INLD workers will hold protest against them,” he said.

He said the people were ‘disappointed’ as the government hadn’t fulfilled the promises so far. “We will play the role of ideal opposition by highlighting the problems the people are facing,” he said.

Taking a dig at Congress, he said it had ‘looted’ the common man in its 10-year tenure at the Centre. “BJP will do the same and after that INLD will throw them out with the support of the people,” he said.

INLD state president Ashok Arora said the party had made efforts to throw out Congress for its maladministration. According to him, BJP came to power with the help of deras in the region.
