Several Hindi words related to Haryanvi culture will get space in Laghu Hindi Vishvakosh (Hindi dictionary) as the Union ministry of human resource has given an opportunity to Mahasingh Poonia of Kurukshetra University (KU) to make his contributions for the dictionary project.

Poonia is the curator of Dharohar museum situated on the KU campus. He got the assignment from Kendriya Hindi Sansthaan.

According to Poonia, several words like chulha, paalki, doli, hooka, bailgadi, kohlu, khaat, ghagra, sarangi, etc, will be added to the dictionary.

KU vice chancellor DDS Sandhu, congratulating Poonia, said that it was an honour for the university to be a part of that project.
