Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) here on Tuesday started its admission process in different under-graduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG) courses by inviting on-line applications.
It also announced schedule of entrance examination for these courses.
"In 2015-16 academic session, the university will make admissions in four and six-year BSc (honours) agriculture, four and six-year BSc (honours) home science and MSc programmes in the disciplines of agriculture, agricultural engineering, basic sciences and home science," a university press release said.
Besides, the university will also admit students in PG diploma courses in human nutrition and dietics, communication skills in english, English-Hindi translation and remote sensing and geophysical information system application in agriculture and environment.
University registrar MS Dahiya said on-line application form and downloadable prospectus were available on university website www.hau.ernet.in and ccshau.mycollegeform.com.
However, for 6-year BSc (honours) agriculture and home science programmes, the candidates could also apply off-line.
He said that the entrance exam for four-year BSc (honours) agriculture and MSc programmes in food science and technology, bioinformatics, molecular biology and biotechnology, plant physiology, microbiology, zoology, chemistry and biochemistry would be held on June 27.
For six-year BSc (Hons) agriculture and different MSc agriculture courses, the entrance exam would be conducted on June 13.
For the remaining UG and PG courses, the candidates would be admitted on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination, press note added.
