Head Constable attacked near Phagwara

Head constable Raj Pal Singh posted at nearby village Panchhat Police Post was allegedly attacked and manhandled by seven accused who also tore the police uniform near village Rawalpindi last evening.

Head constable Raj Pal Singh posted at nearby village Panchhat Police Post was allegedly attacked and manhandled by seven accused who also tore the police uniform near village Rawalpindi last evening.


The Police has booked seven people, including Pardeep Singh, Harbir Singh and Simmo, who were in a Tata Safari and were stopped by the victim head constable, who asked them to come to panchyat police post in connection with their dispute with some other villagers, but the accused
attacked him.

Phagwara Superintendent of Police HPS Khakh said one of the accused Harbir has been arrested while his other accomplices managed to escape.
