Health department issues advisory on dengue prevention

Ludhiana health department issued an advisory to create awareness about prevention of dengue in city on Monday. The health department has appealed to the residents to follow the tips to avoid dengue.

District epidemiologist Dr Ramesh said, “No cases of dengue have been reported till now. Awareness camps are being organised at primary health centres. In July, we get more dengue cases, so we will concentrate on it.”

Ludhiana civil surgeon Dr Renu Chhatwal said, “Suspected cases of dengue should be reported to the nearest government dispensary or hospital. Dengue test is being done for free at Ludhiana civil hospital and supportive treatment is free at all gov-ernment hospitals. Civil surgeon gave some precautionary measures that can be followed to ensure a better health.
