Himachal Pradesh received the season's second major snowfall on Saturday morning.
The state capital of Shimla got 22 cm of snow, while the nearest tourist spots of Kufri and Narkanda received 30 and 35 cm of snow.
Buses to upper Himachal, including Rampur and Kinnaur were diverted via Basantpur as national highway 22 was blocked due to the snowfall.
The supply of essential items such as milk and newspapers reached Shimla late on Saturday morning as road traffic was affected.
The snow, however, brought cheer to those associated with the tourism and horticulture sectors. Hotelier Raman Gupta said after the fresh snowfall, he had been receiving several enquiries for room booking.
