Hero Cycles Limited would soon increase production in all its plants across the country by March-end next year, Pankaj Munjal, co-chairman of the group, said here on Saturday.
The company has decided to increase its current everyday production, which is 19,000, to 22,000.
Munjal said the company was in the process to increase the production to meet the increasing demand of cycles.
He said the Chennai plant of the group which was established to manufacture chassis of BMW would start its working from December 15. “The unit will manufacture chassis and will supply it to BMW,” said Munjal.
“The company is focusing on premium cycles whose market is mostly present in European countries. It is also planning to buy the assets of MIFA, a German based cycle company,” he said.
“Even youth trained at the skill development centre of the company was getting employment,” he said.
