High drama as cop stops traffic violator

High drama was witnessed in Basti Jodhewal area after a traffic cop stopped a bike-borne man for driving on "wrong side"on Tuesday. The traffic "violator"phoned someone, following which around 20 persons reached the spot and blocked the road.

According to information, traffic cop Harpal Singh stopped a biker, who was said to be driving his vehicle on the wrong side of the road in Basti Jodhewal area. The cop asked him to produce the documents of the vehicle but he made excuses, citing that he had borrowed the bike from one of his friends.

As the police didn't let him go, he phoned someone. Soon over 20 persons reached the spot. They were led by a man, who claimed himself to be a BJP leader. They entered into a heated argument with the cops and blocked the road for 10 minutes.

Later, the police let him go without being challaned. Cop Harpal Singh said he was not aware of the names of the persons, who created drama on the road.
