High drama was witnessed in front of Ganga Hospital at Dabwali Road, Sirsa on Wednesday after the family of a 35-year-old man, who died in the hospital in the morning following a surgery, created ruckus, alleging negligence on the part of the hospital authorities.

The family of the victim, Atmaram, a resident of Rania Gate, gathered outside the hospital and broke the window panes. A few among them even blocked the road in front of the hospital, which resulted in a huge traffic jam. The police rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control.

According to the information, Atmaram was admitted to the hospital two days back after an accident. “Doctors had operated upon Atmaram and had asked the relatives to submit huge amount of money in the hospital,” alleged one of the relatives, adding that the patient's family had asked for time to submit the amount.

Meanwhile, Dr Dayaram of Ganga Hospital said that Atmaram had been brought to the hospital in a critical condition. “Doctors had operated upon him and given him the required treatment. But he was in serious condition,” said the doctor.
