Hike in honorarium for all anganwari workers from Jan 1

The Haryana government has decided to give enhanced rate of honorarium to all anganwari workers working under the integrated child development services (ICDS) from January 1, 2014.

The Haryana government has decided to give enhanced rate of honorarium to all anganwari workers working under the integrated child development services (ICDS) from January 1, 2014.

In a release, an official spokesman said on Monday that the state government had enhanced the rate of honorarium of anganwari workers by Rs 2,500 per month, mini-anganwari Workers by Rs 750 per month and anganwari helpers by Rs 1,000 per month.

He said the maximum honorarium of anganwari workers would now be Rs 7,563 per month after enhancement. While the non-matriculate workers would get Rs 7,438, the non-matriculate workers with five-year experience would get Rs 7,469 per month and the non-matriculate workers with 10-year experience would get Rs 7,500 per month.

Similarly, the matriculate anganwari workers would get Rs 7,500 per month, those with matriculate and five-year experience would get Rs 7,531 per month and those with matriculate and 10-year experience would get Rs 7,563 per month. Apart from this, mini-anganwari workers would get Rs 4,000 per month and anganwari helpers would get Rs 3,500 per month.
