With nearly three months left of the current fiscal, the Himachal government has invited suggestions from the public to make the state budget for fiscal 2015-16, for which the formulation process has commenced, more "people centric".
"Suggestions have also been sought to reflect the views of various stakeholders in society," finance secretary Shrikant Baldi said in a press statement.
"Suggestions on the state budget can be sent on new interventions and policies in order to improve the service delivery and quality of life of the public with special emphasis on benefiting the poor people. New schemes, programmes for generation of self, wage employment and other important suggestions have also been invited," he added.
"Suggestions made by various sections of the population would help the government in framing such policies and programmes that were more development and people oriented. Suggestions can be emailed to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org by January 20," Baldi added.
