Two Hindu sisters who crossed over from Jacobabad in Pakistan along with their families on Wednesday expressed desire to marry Indian youths and settle down in this country rather than return to Pakistan since "it did not hold much scope for us as far as our dreams of bright future are concerned".

There was lot of fascination among Hindu girls in Pakistan for Indian grooms, remarked Poonam and Pooja Kumari after arrival in India through the Attari land route on tourist visas. They said they were headed for Indore along with their kin and loads of baggage.

"There is hardly any future for Hindu girls in Pakistan as Hindus, being in minority, are often subjected to some or the other form of bias," said Poonam. She said that she would rather stay put in India than return to Pakistan. "There are several opportunities for Hindu girls in India. I would rather stay back than return to Pakistan," she asserted.

"There is lot of fascination for Indian bridegrooms among Hindu girls in Pakistan," said her sister Pooja. "I know at least 60 Hindu young women who would like to get married to Indian youths and settle down in India," she said.
