The 112-member Hindu jatha that went to Pakistan on pilgrimage returned to India through the Attari border road route on Tuesday.

The jatha led by Shiv Partap Bajaj paid obeisance at the Katasraj Temple. They said it was a pleasant journey across the border.

Bajaj said the jatha was well received in Pakistan and their pilgrimage took place in a very peaceful and cordial atmosphere.

The jatha leader said people in Pakistan appreciated their visit and wanted more such exchanges to boost the ties further.

Few jatha members claimed that the Pakistan government needed to look after the upkeep of some Hindu temples there.
