Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday said that there is a need for Hindus to learn the history of their religion as the world was looking at them for solutions to problems plaguing humanity.
Bhagwat, who was addressing doctors and staff members at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences here said, “Though, we have a glorious history there is a need to know more about our religion, which has the power to unite,” adding, “Whether you admit or not but you are Hindu.”
Hinduism is not only a religion but it is a way of living, which has the responsibility to help the world in the getting relief from its pains,” he said adding that it was ironical that Hindus are not aware about Hindusim. “There is a misunderstanding about Hinduism, as some people think that it is limited to worship only. However, it is above all religions and has the power to provide relief to all pains,” he said.
Bhagwat said that the scientists of the world had done a lot to provide maximum goodness to maximum people, but had failed to provide actual relief to the human soul. “Although science has brought the world closer, in reality people are going away. Now, there is a need to think out of the box,” he said.
Earlier, addressing the youths at the sangh’s Tarunuday event, Bhagwat lauded the role of historians for their contribution to the welfare of humanity. “It is the duty of the RSS to make the people aware about the glorious history of our forefathers,” he said.
