Unidentified miscreants tore pages of a holy book in Wada Ghar village in the district, police said today. The priest of the shrine found pages of the book torn during evening prayers yesterday and subsequently intimated police about the incident.

A case against unidentified persons has been registered and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to nab the culprits, police said.
In a separate incident, a clash took place at Badhni Kalan village of the district after a speech by a religious preacher, police said, adding that a compromise was reached following police intervention.
