The district police have booked a woman Subhanpur village resident for duping a Dhudhianwala village resident of the advance taken for the sale of her house.

In his complaint Gurdeep Singh alleged that Ninder Kaur, collected an advance of Rs 10.5 lakh for her house on December 10, 2010.

"The deal of her house was struck at Rs 14 lakh and May 10, 2011 was fixed for registration of the sale deed. She did not come for the registry. Later, she started coming up with excuses.

When I pressed more, she threatened me and refused to sign the registry and also failed to return the advance.
