HPPSC launches online payment gateway

To ease out difficulty being faced by applicants, the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Punjab National Bank (PNB) to launch online payment gateway.
This would help thousands of applicants to pay the examination fee without any difficulty, said chairman of HPPSC KS Tomar in a press statement here.
Elaborating further, he said the candidates would be able to make payment through credit and debit cards from visa and master cards of any bank thereby saving their time, money, postage, travelling and other costs.
“The new process will enhance the transparency, efficiency and candidates will receive mail or SMS after every transaction,” he said. He said the HPPSC had recently introduced bar-coded optical mark reader (OMR) outer sheet for conventional examinations like Himachal Administrative Services (HAS), Himachal Judicial Services (HJS), State Accounting Services (SAS) and assistant conservator of forests.
Tomar said candidates would be able to pay their fees through debit or credit cards of any bank through online payment gateway. He said necessary instructions in this regard would be available on the website of the commission www.hp.gov.in/hppsc.
Meanwhile, deputy general manager and circle head of PNB VK Goyal said the online payment gateway would facilitate the aspirants and they would be able to use their debit and credit cards of any bank from Lok Mitra Kendra or cyber cafes.
