Suspecting wife of infidelity, a 35-year-old man was found hanging from a fan in his house. The deceased identified as Ravinder Singh of Ahluwalia Colony had left behind a suicide note in which he had accused Dr Naresh Kalra, his accomplice Neeraj, a property dealer, of humiliation. The deceased had also accused his brother in-law Bablu of Delhi of harassment.

Neighbours sensed foul smell from the house and informed the police on Thursday. When the police broke open the door, they found Ravinder hanging from a ceiling fan.

According to the police, the body was decomposed. It is being suspected that Ravinder hanged himself around four days ago. He was alone in the house, as his wife had gone to her maternal home with their children.

Jamalpur station house officer (SHO) inspector Sukhbir Singh said the police recovered a suicide note from the room in which Ravinder had blamed Dr Kalra and his accomplice Neeraj and Bablu for taking the extreme step.

Harvinder said his brother married Harpreet Kaur around nine years ago. Harpreet used to work in a beauty parlour being run by Dr Kalra near his clinic. He alleged that Harpreet had developed illicit relations with Dr Kalra and Ravinder was aware of it.

He alleged that Ravinder had told him over phone that he was being humiliated by the doctor and his accomplices.

The Jamalpur police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against Kalra, Neeraj and Bablu following the complaint of Ravinder's brother Harvinder Singh.

The SHO said the police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
