His charisma still exists with his evergreen hit numbers Chandigarh Kare Aashqui or Veer ji Vyon Chale Aa with people thumping their feet every time the numbers are played. But the UK based pop singer does not want to add much success in his kitty. Jassi Sidhu, says that he would retire in 2016.

"I had decided beforehand only that I will work for just 20 years. After that I will just enjoy my life. Artists claim that they have become superstar after 17 months, but I have dedicated 17 years to the Punjabi music industry which is more than enough", said Jassi, who was here to promote his single track album 'Hipshaker'.

"It is a blessing for me that I have worked for 20 years and had a successful career. People still remember and keep humming my old numbers which is a great feeling", he said adding that his wish-list include collaboration with his friends including Rishi Rich and Honey Singh before retirement.

After a two years gap, Sidhu is all set to make a comeback with a single track album which includes his famous old numbers blending traditional music to the western one.

"This single track I have come up with is a modern day music mixed with traditional Punjabi lyrics. I have been always associated with dhol and tumbi but this time I have tried something new. We also have a fresh new female rap artist, Superwoman, with her own unique style", he added.

On the launch of a single track, he said that now the album culture is diminishing as the songs are just a click away.

"Smartphones have made buying and downloading songs really easy."

The big budget video of the song Lak Hile Majajan Jandi Da is directed by actor Amit Chana featuring international model and actress Jasmine Jardot, who appeared recently in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

"This time I have raised the bar with new innovations and tried to give it an eye catching look, feel and picturisation".

On Honey Singh, Jassi said that he is like my brother and he has a great fan following around the world.

"He is a Punjabi who has united Muslim, Hindu, Gujrati and everyone in the world with his craze. People are crazy about him".
