IBM engineer missing under mysterious circumstances

A 33-year-old engineer, working with the IBM, Gurgaon, went missing under mysterious circumstances since Tuesday from his rented accommodation in DLF City phase 5.

A missing report was registered at Sushant Lok police station on Friday by a relative. The relatives told the police that the victim was transferred from Pune to Gurgaon last month and was not happy with the work assigned to him.

According to the police, Gurpreet Singh, a native of Hoshiarpur, Punjab lived in DLF Pinnacle Estate in DLF City phase-5 in a rented flat since March 25. He worked with IBM, Gurgaon.

Singh had transferred `1lakh online from his account to his wife’s account at 2:45am on Monday, a day before he went missing, said the police.

Investigating official, sub inspector Vijay Pal Singh, said, “His mobile phone is switched off since Tuesday. We have given his mobile number to our cyber crime cell and asked them to take out the call detail record (CDR). The details would clarify his locations and this would help us in the investigations.”

A police team from Sushant Lok police station was sent to Hoshiarpur for furtherer investigation on Saturday morning.
