Sanil Garg and Sifatjot Singh of Yadavindra Public School have topped in the city by scoring 97.6 per cent marks in class 10 ICS examination result, which were declared on Wednesday.
A total of 132 students appeared in the examinations, out of which 27 students scored above 90 percent marks while 35 have scored above 80 per cent.
Meanwhile, Gurleen Cheema scored 96.6 percent marks and stood second, while Anayat Walia finished at third position with 95.8% marks.
On the other hand, Punjab Public School, Nabha, students also excelled in the examination as 121 students out of 123 achieved a first division result and 83 obtained distinctions. Kriti Verma secured first position with 95.2% marks, while Akshpreet Kaur and Namandeep Kaur stood second scoring equal 92percent marks. Vipanjot Singh achieved 91percent marks in the examination. Three of the students obtained a perfect score of 100 in computer applications.
School headmaster Jagpreet Singh congratulated the students, staff and parents for the outstanding result and complimented the students for achieving brilliance in not only academics but also sports and other co-curricular activities.
Meanwhile, British co-ed High School, Patiala, had 100 percent ICS result. Akshdeep Kaur Dhillon and Kangan of science stream topped with 96.4%. They both scored 100 in mathematics. Gurjeen Kaur scored 95.6% while Kritinder Kaur got 95.2% followed by Shruti Bansal who scored 95%. Out of 109 students who sat for class 10th examinations, 45 students scored more than 90% marks.
Pranav Chawla with 95.6% marks secured first position in Kaintal School, Patiala, while Aakanksha and Himanshu Goyal finished on second and third spot with 95.25 and 93.8% marks.
