An illegal digging for installation the wires of a mobile service providing company was stopped near Tagore Nagar after the complaint of a city-based RTI activist.

RTI activist Arvinder Sharma said, "The mobile service provider company was installing wires near Tagore Nagar without taking any permission from the municipal corporation (MC). The workers had damaged most of the road for installing wires. I immediately complained to the area junior engineer concerned to take action against the violators."

MC junior engineer Harkamal Singh said, "The company concerned has not taken any permission for installation of mobile wires. The workers have dug out six holes and most of the road near Tagore Nagar was damaged. We have confiscated the tools and other material of the workers, but workers fled from the spot. We will issue required fine to the violators whenever they come back to take their tools."
