In a goodwill gesture, India on Friday released eight Pakistani prisoners through the Attari border. The Pakistani nationals were caught in India under different crimes. Most of them were undergoing punishment on the charges of illegal border crossing.

Happy after their release, the Pakistani prisoners demanded that all jail inmates who have completed their sentence must be freed immediately.
Talking to mediapersons, a Pakistani national, Mohammad Salim, said, "I had run away from my house after a quarrel with my elder brother. In anger, I came towards the Indian border. That was a mistake and I paid the price by spending six years in jail."
