India's got talent's one-legged dancer Shubhreet Kaur Ghumman has alleged her Chandigarh-based husband Yash Makkar of marrying her by giving false details of his family background and duping her of about Rs 20 lakh, including Rs 4 lakh spent on the marriage.

Now she is planning to lodge an FIR against Makkar in her home town Malerkotla.

Shubhreet, while talking to HT said, "On June 5 this year I married Yash Makkar, who also runs a gym in Mohali. Before marriage, he told me that his family lives in England and soon they will also get settled there. After marriage we shifted to a rented house in Mohali. But few days later I came to know that his family lives in Chandigarh and he married me for my property.”

"I had a fixed deposit of Rs 1.45 lakh which he withdrew from the bank. Besides my jewellery, he also took away Rs 10 lakh which my mom had given us at the time of our marriage,” said Shubhreet.

"When I raised the issue with his friends and family members, no one told me the truth. Since July 21, I don’t have any information about him as his mobile is switched off,” she said.

“I’ll file the complaint with the local police in Malerkotla, once I return from Delhi. Along with the other charges of fraud, I’ll also file a complaint of sexual harassment against him,” she added.

Talking about the future of her married life, she said, “I don't want to stay with him anymore. I will file for a divorce.”
