Industrial visit for university students

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib's school of commerce and management organised an industrial visit for the students on Saturday.

The maiden industrial visit was arranged by Vinayaka Textile Mills Ludhiana. The first year students of MCom and MBA were taken there. The students were exposed to the implementation of various concepts of management in the industry. The HR head, Surender Nath Yadav, addressed the students and provided valuable information regarding the unit. The students also interacted with the general manager, Vivek Kumar Aggrawal.

The members of faculty, Bandhanpreet Kaur, Gurloveleen Kaur and Ramandeep Kaur accompanied the students on this visit. As a part of the visit, the students also had an opportunity to get acquainted with the working of the shop floor level where production actually takes place i.e. two units of spinning and dyeing.
Ritika Gupta a student of MCom found the visit of great academic interest.

The dean, research and professor eminence, BS Bhatia appreciated the efforts of the head of the department JS Dhillon and industrial visit coordinator Lalit Singla for organising such visits where the students are provided with a platform.
