Malwa's biggest government health facility, Rajindra Hospital here, hopes to mend its reputation of poor infrastructure.

Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 2.50 crore as official grant for the construction of a three-floor rest house at the medical institution. The decision had come at his meeting with high officials of the health department, deputy commissioner GK Singh said here.

The chief secretary for health, Vinni Mahajan, was also at the meeting, the DC has confirmed.

The rest house will accommodate 200 people and have latest comforts. The chief minister wants the project completed in time.
