The admission interview for various courses being run at Guru Nanak Dev University on Amritsar and Gurdaspur regional campuses and at Amardeep Singh Shergill Memorial College, Mukandpur, by the department of lifelong learning, formerly known as department of adult continuing education and extension, will be held from July 9.
Department director Rajinderjit Kaur Pawar said the interview for one-year certificate course in dress designing and cutting and tailoring for matriculate girls would be held on July 9, while for class-12 pass girls, the admission interview for diploma courses in textile designing would be held in the department on July 10.
For diploma in cosmetology, the class-12 pass girls could appear for admission interview on July 10 in the department. Admission to diploma in computer applications is open for class-12 pass boys and girls and the course is run in morning and evening shifts. The admission interview for the course would be held on July 11 at 10 am for girls and at 2 pm for boys in the department, she said.
Pawar said the admission to diploma courses in computer hardware and maintenance was open for class-12 pass boys only and the course was run in the morning and afternoon shifts. The admission interview would be held on July 12 at 10 am in the department, she said.
The admission to diploma in interior decoration course was open to class-12 pass girls and the admission interview would be held on July 12 at 2 pm in the office, while the admission to advanced course in web designing was open to class-12 pass girls who had basic knowledge of computer and the admission interview would be held on July 13 at 10 am in the department.
Advanced diploma course in accountancy was available for class-12 pass girls and the admission interview would be held in the department on July 13 at noon, she said. Pawar said that at university regional campus, Gurdaspur, matriculate un-employed girls were eligible for admission to one-year certificate course in dress designing, cutting and tailoring.
