“It is ridiculous that Sukhbir, who also holds the home portfolio, is virtually terrorising the people of Punjab by raising bogey of ISI threat”, AAP’s head of the campaign committee and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann said. Mann said within days of Sukhbir claiming that ISI was planning attacks on state’s political leaders, the CM said: “There is no direct evidence about the involvement of the ISI or any other foreign agency in any of the cases, including the attack on RSS leader Gagneja and incidents of sacrilege.

“Sukhbir is conspiring attacks on opposition leaders, including AAP supremo and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal,” alleged Mann.

No difference of opinion: Sukhbir

Meanwhile, Sukhbir said there was no difference of opinion between him and the CM Badal on AAP link with radicals or the conspiracies of the ISI to destabilise peace in Punjab. In a statement here, Sukhbir said reports appearing in a section of the media about differences of perception between him the CM were based on “misunderstanding of remarks made by me during a press conference in Chandigarh”.

“I had stated two things categorically there. One of these was that the AAP leaders have links with Punjab radicals and are holding meetings with them,” he said.”
