J-K government reschedules office, school timings for winter

The Jammu and Kashmir government has rescheduled the office timings in the summer capital Srinagar from Monday. The new timings will remain in effect for the entire winter and further till March 31 next year.

An official spokesperson said all the government offices shall open at 10.30 am and close at 4.30 pm from Monday onwards.

All government and recognised private schools within the municipal limits of Srinagar city shall begin at 10 am and shut at 3 pm, an order by the director of school education department, Kashmir, said.

The schools outside the municipal limits of the city will function from 11 am till 4 pm.

When spring arrives next year, the timings will again will be changed.
