Aaina-e-Ghazal society

The Aaina-e-Ghazal society organised a ghazal night in the memory of noted ghazal singer Jagjit Singh at Australian Farms here.

Singers, including Ravi Kant, Sikhdev, Swarn Lata, Prabhakar Kashyap, Devinder Sharma and others, enthralled music lovers with their performances.

Ravi Kant, a teacher Guru Nanak Dev University's music department, sang Jagjit Singh's ghazal 'Pyar ka pehla khat likhne mein waqt toh lagta hai', while his colleague Sukhdev and MPhil student Swarn Lata sang a duet 'Gham ka khazana tera bhi hai mera bhi', and Prabhakar Kashyap rendered 'Aadmi aadmi ko kya dega?' Devinder Sharma and Vaneeta stole the show with Punjabi 'tappe and boliyaan'.

Sukhjindra Group of Institutes chairman SS Gill, who was the chief guest, congratulated the organisers, chief patron Rajinder Trehan, patron KK Sharma and president Vikas Sharma for the show's success.
