Hundreds of supporters of the SAD-BJP coalition participated in a road show for its candidate for the Moga byelection Joginder Pal Jain led by SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday.

Sukhbir said if the love and affection shown by people of the constituency was any indication, the Congress should think of quitting the electoral battle. "The SAD-BJP candidate was all set to win by more than 51,000 votes. SAD was fighting this election on the plank of development," he added.

The SAD-BJP supporters started gathering near the bus stand since early morning. Ranwinder Singh Pappu, a senior leader of SAD, claimed that as deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal reached the road show he was overwhelmed by the love, affection and support shown by people from all wards of the city.

As the Akali Dal president led the procession in a mini-truck, several cabinet ministers and senior SAD-BJP leaders were present there to accord a welcome to SAD-BJP workers who had come from all over the constituency to show their support to Jain.
