Jalandhar post office to sell Penta mobiles soon

India Post Office, Jalandhar, will soon start selling Penta mobile on their premises. As informed by the officials in the department, the mobile will be made available in the post office within fortnight.

According to the recent notification to the post offices in Punjab circle, the department of posts (DOP) in association with Pental Technologies Pvt. Ltd, an ICT products company based in Noida, will be selling mobiles devices in the selected post offices of Punjab.

Only a single model of Penta Mobile will be sold at various post offices. The model no. is PF 301 Bharat Phone. The screen size of 2.8 inches and it is internet enabled.

The cost of this mobile is Rs 1,999 with free talk time of `1,999 minutes of BSNL for the general public while the cost for the department employees will be Rs 1,899 with no incentives.

The sale of these Penta mobiles will be implemented only in selected post offices by circle office which Chandigarh Circle Office.

It is to be mentioned that the circle office Chandigarh has identified three post offices at Jalandhar division. City head post office Jalandhar, Jalandhar Cantonment post office and Nawanshahr post office are the chosen ones.

For advance booking

In case, the stock is unavailable at the time of booking at the particular office, customer can deposit Rs 500 in the post offices as non-refundable booking amount and the remaining amount of Rs 1,499 will be paid by the customer at the time of taking the delivery.

In case the department fails to replenish within the locking time period, the customer will be intimidated by PTPL help desk. After this, a customer can either demand the refund or extend the delivery time.

In case there is a delay in refunding and a customer insists on the compensation, company will pay 1.5% interest per month to the customer.

The mobile comes with a warrant of 12 months. If the customer approaches the post office with the complaint of defect in his or her phone during the warranty period, he has to make a payment of `735 if the defect is caused due to mishandling and no payment will be taken if the piece has manufacturing defect.
