The accused, identified as Karanbir Singh who is in his early twenties, hails from Dhaliwal Kadian village in Lambran of Jalandhar district.

Giving details, Amritsar police commissioner Jatinder Singh Aulakh said, “After the incident created panic among the residents, we had formed special teams to nab the carjacker immediately. The police got a tip-off today and he was rounded up at the Manawala toll plaza.”
