Jalandhar student caught using bluetooth device in exam

The district education department has caught a class 12 candidate, taking the exam through Open School, cheating using bluetooth during the biology exam on Friday at the New St Soldier School centre.

District education officer, secondary, Nilam Kumari, said that the candidate had tied a bluetooth device under his turban and was being fed answers from his friend, sitting in Kartarpur.

"The superintendent Charanjit Singh told me that the student was repeatdly mumbling and that another student in the room had made several request to him not to do so. The invigilator then checked the candidate and doscovered the copying. The student confessed," said Nilam.
In another case, a class 10 candidate at Government High School, Baopur, fled with his answer sheet.

"The 28-year-old was taking his social studies exam. He just sat idle dutingg the entire paper. He then requested for a washroom break, and did not return. It was later discovered that he had fled with his answer sheet," she said adding that an FIR has been lodged against the student.

Another two cases of cheating were detected at Government Senior Secondary School, Sangowal. The DEO said that a report had been submitted to the Punjab School Education Board.

A case of copying was also reported from Government Senior Secondary School, Dhilwan, from Kapurthala and another three cases of class 10 from Government Senior Secondary School, Mandali, in Nawanshahr.
