172 constables pass out from Kharkan

Another batch of 172 constables of batch no 217 of Border Security Force (BSF) passed out from the Kharkan training centre on Saturday after completing 34-week training.


Rajya Sabha member Avinash Rai Khanna presided over the ceremony. He administered an oath to outgoing students and presented awards to exceptional cadets.

Deputy inspector general of police HS Dhillon said that the  majority of the recruits in the outgoing batch were from Rajasthan. The batch would be given advanced combat training before deputing them to the field job, he added.

Constable Sanjay Kataria was declared the overall best trainee.
