The city police arrested another suspect in the attack on a scribe on Monday evening. As promised by police commissioner Gaurav Yadav, the 11 nabbed accused were also remanded in four-day police remand.

Additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) Navjot Mahal told HT that those in judicial custody were brought back on production warrant and presented before the court.

"Efforts are on to arrest all the 20 accused. We also hope to recover the weapon used in the attack as well as the car."

He added that an inquiry was on into the initial lapse by SHO Dharamveer Singh.

"We will take strict action against the accused. The injured scribe, Ashwani Malhotra, will be recommended for the bravery award for showing the courage to intervene and stop the molestation of a girl," Mahal said.
