Bus collides with tree; 12 injured

A Punjab Roadways bus (PB02- BJ-9455) going to Kapurthala from Amritsar collided with a tree at Subhanpur village of Kapurthala on Sunday evening, leaving 12 passengers injured, two of them critically.


The Subhanpur police reached the spot and took the injured to a Kapurthala hospital in 108 ambulances.

Two passengers — Daya Kaur, a resident of Bhaini Sahib in Ludhiana and Gian Singh (50) of Amritsar district — sustained serious injuries and were shifted to the Jalandhar civil hospital later on  after they were given first-aid at a Kapurthala hospital, police said.

Till filling of the report, the police were yet to file a case in this regard.
