GNDU College starts evening BCom and MCom courses

Guru Nanak Dev University College, Ladowali Road, will offer evening professional courses at a nominal fee for working students from this academic session.

Principal Jaspal Singh Randhawa said that he had introduced Bachelors in Commerce (BCom), BCom professional and Masters in Commerce (MCom).

"The university syndicate has decided to provide these courses at nominal rates. The fees for BCom is Rs. 10,000, BCom professional (Rs 17,610) and MCom (Rs 18,210) annualy. This has to bne paid in four installments," Randhawa said. He claimed that the fee was only one third of that charged by private institutes.

"Classes will be scheduled according to the convenience of the students in the evening. Tentative timings are in two batches including 1 pm to 5pm and 5pm to 9pm. The university has allocated Rs. 3 crore for the construction of new building, purchase of equipment and books," he added. There are 150 seats in BCom, 100 in BCom Professional and 30 in MCom.

For the masters, the university procedure will be followed, while direct admissions will be made for bachelors.
