Health dept collects samples from food joints

The health department team collected various food samples from the food joints at Viva Collage here on Thursday.


Dr Jasbir Singh, district health officer, said, "We took nine samples from local food joints, including Subway and Dominos, on the third floor of Viva Collage."

He added that the team also checked the kitchens of the food joints. "The kitchen of the local food joint was found unhygienic. We have given a warning to them to maintain the cleanliness or else we will seal the joint."

He said the samples had been sent to laboratories for testing.
