Man held with 60-gm heroin

The Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) has arrested Harminder Singh of Binjo village in Mahilpur town after recovering 60-gm heroin during a barricade placed near the office of Truck Union Banga, when he was driving a Skoda car on Saturday evening.

A case has been registered against him at the City Police Station. The police produced him before a local court, which remanded him to day's police remand.

In another incident, Ranjeet Singh of Jhikka village was arrested after 10-gm of heroin was recovered from his possession on the Happowal road. He was sent to jail after being produced in a local court on Sunday.
