Manpreet denies meeting Amarinder

Reacting to reports in some some vernacular dailies that he had met PPCC chief Amarinder Singh in New Delhi, People's Party of Punjab president Manpreet Badal categorically denied having met the former chief minister recently.

"I have not met Amarinder in the recent days. Last month, I ran into him at a wedding, but no politics was discussed." Manpreet said on Thursday.

He added that the media should not publish such false reports as it led to political confusion among party workers.

"Whenever I will meet any congress leader, the media will be informed. It will not be a closed-door meeting," he added.

Recent reports in vernacular dailies had mentioned that Manpreet had met Amarinder in a secret meeting and a discussion was held on a possible alliance between the two parties for forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
