Nine Pakistani prisoners released

This Wednesday turned special for nine Pakistani prisoners who were released by the Indian government since they completed their imprisonment terms in different jails of the country.


All the prisoners were sent through Border Security Force (BSF) to Pakistan from the Attari border.
They were elated to return to their native land. The prisoners also included one woman and two of them have been linked to terrorism.

A source said, "Three prisoners were behind the bars since past five years as they crossed the border.Two of the prisoners were locked in Jodhpur Jail and one of them was in a Jammu jail.

Prisoners who have been linked to terrorism spent 15 years at Tihar Jail in New Delhi. They were caught by the Delhi Police in RF Pura sector.

Four prisoners including a woman were in a jail at Gujarat who was caught for overstaying in India.They had a one-month Indian visa but overstayed by three months and thus were slapped imprisonment upto six months in Gujarat.
