"He is the person responsible for arranging money for pensions, payment of gratuities and provident fund. We have not received pensions for the months of January and February. When we approached him, he was evasive and cited non-payment of funds by the state government for not giving us our due," he said.

"Pensions are our only hope and the only source of earning for the retirees. By not releasing our money, we are forced to live under extreme stress. This should be stopped by all means. Even the high court has directed the departments concernd to make our payments by the 10th of every month by all means," he added.

Pensioners raised slogans against the PRTC management and threatened to intensify their struggle if the management failed to resolve their issues.
