With an objective to reach out to ex-servicemen, their dependents, veer naris and next of kin, a Sahayta Kendra has been inaugurated here to provide a single window service to register their complaints on various issues like pension, Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) and re-settlement by Vajra Corps.

As part of this welfare scheme, similar kendras have also been inaugurated in cities such as Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. All the kendras have been operationalised.

In the second phase four more kendras will be established in Ferozepur, Kapurthala, Beas and Ludhiana, which will cover almost the entire geographical area of the formation.

The Ex-Servicemen Sahayta Kendra has been established with the main objective of having a proactive interface between ex-servicemen and various grievance cells.

All kendras have been linked with a toll free number and e-mail address. The Jalandhar kendra can be reached through toll free number 1800-1802355 or email
