School teacher reports late, inspection team conducts assembly

A team that went to inspect the functioning of Government Primary School Chak Desraj, Goraya, had to conduct the morning assembly seesion, as no teacher had reported to work. District science supervisor Baljinder Singh said that there was no teacher in the school at 9 am.

He added, "Students were playing. We conducted the morning prayer. A teacher came in at 9:25 am, while the 2nd teacher was on leave. The sarpanch also complained about the misconduct of teacher of the school."

He added that a report had been submitted to director general school education. Four schools were inspected in the district.

"There was a single Hindi teacher running Government Middle School, Dhuleta, with a strength of 52. We have reported to the department that the school needs maths, science and social studies teachers."

The other two schools Government Senior Secondary School, Chak Desraj, Goraya, and Government Senior Secondary School, Gohawar, were found to be up to the mark.
