Sukhbir visits PAP to check on arrangements

Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal took stock of the preparations, ahead of the visit of the Pakistani Punjab CM Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.


Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is the chief guest for the finals of the World Cup Kabaddi to be held at Ludhiana on December 15.

Badal, who was accompanied by minister of revenue, information and public relations Bikram Singh Majithia, additional director general of police-cum-director Police Academy Phillaur, SK Sharma, deputy inspector general, Jalandhar Range, Lok Nath Angra and deputy commissioner Priyank Bharti, visited the academy premises and the sports grounds during his visit.

"The state government is committed to ensure comfort and pleasant stay to the dignitaries, teams and staff members accompanying teams at all the venues," he said adding that, "due to efforts made by Punjab government, this game of Punjab has received world-wide acclaim."
